VanVleet Insurance is pleased to welcome a Marketing and Sales intern to its team. VanVleet summer intern Tim Miller will work from May into the first week of August.
Tim will assist Kelly VanVleet in a marketing role that includes creating the team’s social media strategy, contributing to website redesign, and analyzing SEO performance. He will also work with Kelly to create new ads and graphics, as well as exploring new ways to connect with current customers.
His sales role will primarily be in junction with health representatives Kyle Dafler and Kyle Zajdel, and he’ll also support the property and casualty agents. His central purpose will be in lead creation. Tim also plans to bug the Kyle’s frequently, argue with them about sports, and strategically plan his lunches to where one of the Kyle’s pays for him.
Tim enters his senior year at Cedarville University (Ohio) this fall, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Marketing. He will also earn minors in Biblical Studies and Communications.
Tim holds his health license and interned at Aflac last summer under the guidance of Dafler, now Employee Benefits Specialist at VanVleet. Tim finished as the No. 1 sales intern in the North Territory and was 15th nationwide at Aflac.
During the school year, Tim works for the Cedarville University Sports Information Department and serves as a nationally recognized Sports Editor for the school’s award-winning newspaper. He also holds a part-time internship with Boston, Massachusetts-based ProdPerfect, working remotely as a Digital Marketing and Communications Intern.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys being let down by bad Ohio sports teams, helping his parents run their coffee shop, and figuring out how he’ll pay for his college debt.
Tim is from Mechanicsburg, Ohio where he attends Mechanicsburg Baptist Church when home from school.
